Superintendent Stefan JaggiEau Claire Public Schools - The beauty of a small rural school is that you really get to know the other students with whom your children will experience many milestones. Through the years a "family" develops. It is especially true in Eau Claire where the culmination is unlike any other that I have ever seen. During the graduation ceremony, pictures are shown of every graduate from birth to their senior picture. It is quite an experience and always a highlight. It is especially exciting because in this small school where kids have grown up together, everyone is a lifelong friend.
Academically, the Eau Claire Public Schools will offer all of what the larger schools do. We are able to do that by transporting students to other sites if we don't offer the specific program that is being sought. For example, although we don't have a building trades program on site, we will bus any student seeking to learn more about construction over to the Berrien County Intermediate School District where a large program does exist. We also offer a dual enrollment program to help provide additional opportunities for students. Ultimately, our core academic instruction continues to offer the students an outstanding background for the future endeavors.
It is a very exciting time for any educator. I am now beginning my 22nd year of educating children, and the feeling is always the same.
